Sarah Clark grew up in coastal Massachusetts before getting her bachelors degree in Sports Sciences from Elmira College in upstate New York. She went on to earn a Masters degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University.
After completing her Master’s, Sarah has held several positions in the medical space which give her a unique set of experiences and help her understand challenges from multiple points of view. Some of these roles include: Head Athletic trainer at Division II Belmont Abbey College, Lead Clinician with Performance Orthotics, where she worked closely with Dr. Robert Anderson and some of his patients including professional athletes and performing digital gait analysis evaluations of incoming players at the NFL combine. Sarah then took her clinical experience and worked as a territory sales rep for DJO before returning to the clinical side as a physician extender under another leader in the orthopedic space, and later as the Director of Operations for Instride Foot & Ankle Specialists.
This diverse set of experiences allows Sarah to see challenges from multiple angles easily where she can put together comprehensive plans of action that satisfy both the clinical and business sides of the business most effectively.
Sarah noticed that many large practices were consolidating and were able to leverage their collective size into efficiencies in purchasing, processes, and general sharing of knowledge and best practices. She realized that in many smaller, private practices a physician is asked to wear multiple hats, some of which they may have very little training or prior experience with. Sarah saw an opportunity to help these practices become the best versions of themselves by sharing her vast experience to help them operate optimally. In January 2020 she founded Sarah Clark Consulting, LLC to help small and medium size private medical practices improve their overall operations. She has immediately been able to help many practices operate more efficiently and increase their profitability.
Sarah lives in Huntersville, North Carolina with her Husband Brian and their 2 rescue dogs. When not working she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, kickboxing, and rooting for her hometown Boston sports teams.
